Car Accident in Artik: 5 Injured, 2 are Children
On December 27, at 01:10, the '911' service received information that an accident had occurred near the penitentiary in the city of Artik, Shirak Province, with casualties.
A fire and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene. It was found that two vehicles, an 'Opel Zafira' (driver: Arthur S., born in 1990) and a 'VAZ-2109' (driver: Gevorg A., born in 1981), had collided.
Before the rescuers arrived, the driver and a passenger of the 'VAZ-2109', Narine S. (born in 1986), were hospitalized in Gyumri Medical Center, while the other passengers, Rouzanna (born in 2005) and Sirakan (born in 2011) A. were taken to the 'Gyumri Mother and Child Austrian Hospital', and the passenger of the 'Opel Zafira', Hasmik H. (born in 1990), was taken to Artik Medical Center.
Doctors assessed the health conditions of the driver and Narine S. as serious, while Rouzanna and Sirakan A. were categorized as moderate, and Hasmik H.’s condition was considered satisfactory.
The rescuers disconnected the vehicles from power, closed the valves of the gas cylinders, and conducted cleaning operations on the roadway.
