Thieves Neutralized Inside the House Being Robbed; 2 Police Officers Hospitalized
On December 25, acting on operational information received at the Nor Nork division of the police's criminal investigation department, officers from the Nor Nork, Yerevan police and the criminal investigation unit of the Avan division apprehended and neutralized residential burglars at the crime scene.
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, risking their lives, the police and investigators carried out extensive operational and investigative measures and apprehended three individuals suspected of committing a burglary around 3 PM at an apartment in building 57 on Vilnųs street, Nor Nork. The suspects are 46-year-old Eduard Petrosyan, 47-year-old Grigor Manukyan, and 37-year-old Suren Zaroyan, all residents of Yerevan.
During the apprehension, S. Zaroyan inflicted bodily harm on police officer Harutyun Gevorgyan and senior officer Sergey Basoyan from the Avan division with a gas cylinder he had with him. Both were taken to the Malayan Eye Clinic.
The suspects were arrested. Using a modified key, S. Zaroyan, G. Manukyan, and E. Petrosyan opened the door to the mentioned apartment on Vilnųs street, entered, and stole gold jewelry and cash. When they attempted to exit the same way, they were neutralized on the spot.
The police and investigators found the stolen items, as well as a large number of keys and specialized tools for opening doors, with them.
