Major Car Accident: Driver and Passenger, Both Contractual Servicemen, Hospitalized
Today, on December 25, a major car accident occurred in the Lori region. At around 08:10, the driver of a BMW with license plate 35 VQ 715 veered off the roadway in Aghayan Street, Vanadzor, under still unknown circumstances, and collided with roadside trees.
According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, the driver of the BMW was extricated from the vehicle by emergency response teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations who arrived promptly at the scene.
A patrol from the second police battalion of the Road Police, led by squad commander Smbat Norekyan and platoon commander Garik Martirosyan, also arrived quickly at the site of the accident.
Shamshyan reports that debris from the collision shattered the windows of a nearby house and also damaged another parked vehicle nearby.
According to G. Shamshyan's sources, both the driver and the passenger are contractual servicemen, and the BMW has been reduced to scrap metal. The Road Police are currently investigating the identities of the driver and the injured parties.
