Extraordinary Incident in Nor-Nork: Police Injured During Arrest of Burglars

Police and investigators put their lives at risk during extensive operational-investigative measures today, December 25, resulting in the arrest of three individuals suspected of committing burglary at 57 Vilnius Street in the 9th district of Nor-Nork around 3:00 PM.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the arrested individuals are 46-year-old Edward Petrosyan registered in Nor-Nork’s 9th district, 47-year-old Grigor Manukyan residing in the 1st district of Nor-Nork, and 37-year-old Suren Zaroyan from the Avan administrative district.

At the time of his arrest, S. Zaroyan used a gas cylinder to inflict bodily harm on operative officer Harutyun Gevorgyan of the Nor-Nork police's criminal investigation department and senior operative Serghey Basoyan of the Avan police department. The injured officers were taken to the Armenia Medical Center and later transferred to the Malayan Eye Clinic, as the gas cylinder exploded in the officers' faces.
