Vendetta in Tavush Province: 32-Year-Old Man Recently Released from Prison Shot Dead in Dilijan

Gunshots were heard moments ago in Tavush Province. Around 9:00 PM, the Dilijan Medical Center contacted the Dilijan police station, reporting that a citizen with gunshot wounds had been transported to them. The individual, who did not regain consciousness, was pronounced dead.

According to local photojournalist Gagik Shamsyan, the operational group of the Tavush Province Police, led by Chief Armen Gasparyan and Deputy Chief Kamo Tsutsulyan, arrived at the hospital.

Given the severity of the crime, Tavush Province Prosecutor Murad Harutyunyan and Prosecutor Azat Margaryan from the Tavush Province Prosecutor's Office also arrived on the scene.

Police and investigators determined that the deceased was Mesrop Kharatyani, a 32-year-old resident of Dilijan. According to G. Shamsyan, the deceased had been convicted several times and had recently been released.

Another individual with gunshot wounds was also transported to the hospital from the crime scene. Reports indicate that the injured person is 23-year-old Suren Manucharyan, a relative of the deceased.

At the crime scene, two vehicles were identified: a BMW X6 with license plate 10 MM 444 and a Kia Sorento with license plate 93 TM 003.
