Vayots Dzor Police Solve Wallet Theft Case
On December 21, officers from the Vayots Dzor regional police received operational information that a 15-year-old resident of Yeghegnadzor had stolen the wallet of a 25-year-old resident of the village of Getap, which contained more than 100,000 drams, a driver's license, and cards.
The incident occurred near one of the cafes in Yeghegnadzor. The regional police, in cooperation with their colleagues from the Yeghegnadzor division, acted on the information received and were able to locate the teenager. He was presented at the Yeghegnadzor police station and gave a confession.
It was revealed that he had spent part of the money, while some was given to a friend. Through subsequent measures, the criminal investigators of Yeghegnadzor found the stolen items. The teenager had burned the wallet, the driver's license, and the cards. Materials are being prepared on the case, and circumstances are being clarified.
