Murder of 17-Year-Old Boy Uncovered, One Person Arrested

The investigation department of the Ararat regional investigative administration of the Armenian Investigative Committee has uncovered the murder case of a minor born in 2002.

One individual has been arrested.

On December 23, 2019, at 18:10, a report was received by the Masis division of the police from the Masis Medical Center, stating that a minor resident of Masis, born in 2002, was hospitalized with stab wounds to the neck and chest but died on the way to the hospital.

Following the incident, the investigative department of the Ararat regional investigative administration initiated a criminal case under the first part of Article 104 of the RA Criminal Code. The preliminary investigation was assigned to an investigative group.

As a result of investigative and operational-search measures, a 17-year-old resident of the same city was brought in for questioning on December 23, 2019, on suspicion of committing the aforementioned act. He has been arrested.

Clothing worn by the suspect at the time was seized, revealing blood-like traces upon examination. Additionally, a stab wound was found on his right hand during the investigation.

Forensic, genetic, biological, and trace examinations have been appointed, and measures are being taken to clarify all circumstances of the case. The preliminary investigation continues.
