Fatal accident occurs in Vayots Dzor region

On December 24, a fatal accident occurred in the Vayots Dzor region. Around 18:50 in the city of Vayk, a 26-year-old resident of Yeghgnadzor, Roman T., struck a pedestrian, a man approximately 60 years old, who was crossing the road at an unauthorized section with his Mercedes vehicle (license plate 34 TA 797).

According to Shamshyan.com, the pedestrian died at the scene. The driver did not flee the scene and attempted to provide assistance to the injured pedestrian, calling an ambulance. The medical personnel who arrived subsequently confirmed the pedestrian's death.

Military police are preparing materials regarding the incident, and both the police and military police are working to clarify the full details of the driver and the deceased. According to G. Shamshyan's information, the driver serves in the Vayk division of the RA Ministry of Defense's military police as a criminal investigation operative.
