Cause of Fire at 'Badger' Supermarket Warehouse Revealed
On December 23, at 16:05, a call was received by the 911 service reporting a fire at the 'Badger' supermarket warehouse located at 1 Kajaznuny Street in Yerevan.
Emergency services responded to the scene with six firefighting units from the Yerevan Rescue Department and a rapid response team from the National Center for Crisis Management, alongside an on-duty physician from the Center for Disaster Medicine.
Before the firefighters arrived, the fire was extinguished by local forces. It was determined that the fire was caused by a short circuit in the electrical wires located in the suspended ceiling of the supermarket's warehouse. Approximately 12 square meters of economic items were burned, with about 5 square meters destroyed and 1 square meter of electrical wires damaged by heat.
