Around 90 Million Drams in Violations Found at the Armenia Fund, State Audit Office Reports

Violations amounting to 89,942.7 million drams have been identified regarding transactions signed within the framework of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide at the Armenia Fund. This information has been reported by the State Audit Office.

In 2018-2019, the Audit Chamber of the Republic of Armenia conducted an examination of the expenses related to the events commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide at the Armenia Fund.

The State Audit Office of the Republic of Armenia carried out oversight of the Fund, focusing solely on matters that fall outside the authority of the Audit Chamber as per the law on the Audit Chamber, and which had not been audited by it.

During the review, violations were found regarding transactions valued at 89,942.7 million drams. In particular, it was noted that the company providing concert organization services did not prepare a film and did not organize concerts in accordance with the volumes specified in the contract; however, the Fund accepted the service and made payments.

As a result of the study, recommendations were made to the Fund and the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute regarding actions to be taken for the transfer and acceptance of the website www.armeniangenocide100.org and its operation.
