Boxer Ani Hovhannisyan Defeats Azerbaijani Rival

In the international tournament "World Cup of Oil Countries" held in Beloyarsk, Khanty-Mansiysk, Armenian representative Ani Hovhannisyan secured a bronze medal in the 69 kg weight category.

The Armenian Boxing Federation reports that to reach the semifinals, Hovhannisyan won against Azerbaijani Shahla Alahverdiyeva with a unanimous decision of 5:0.

In the semifinals, the silver medalist of the European U22 championship will compete with Russian Darima Sandakova.
