Armenian Football Needs Better Candidates: Arkadi Andreasian
On December 23, elections for the Executive Committee of the Football Federation of Armenia will take place, as well as the election of the president of the FFA. Three candidates will compete for the presidency: Armen Melikbekyan, Tovmas Grigoryan, and Khoren Hovhannisyan.
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" spoke with Arkadi Andreasian, a legendary footballer from "Ararat-73", who has been nominated as a candidate for membership on the FFA Executive Committee by the "Urartu" football club. In our conversation, Andreasian emphasized that he does not see any of the nominated candidates fit for the position of FFA president.
“None of the nominated candidates can benefit Armenian football. I believe the state leader should search for and find someone who can work effectively. Regarding Khoren Hovhannisyan, I don’t even want to hear anything because he is precisely the one who has destroyed Armenian football, and I don’t even know the other candidates or what connection they have to football,” he noted.
