Young Man Breaks Into Apartment and Steals Gold and Silver Jewelry Valued at 2.2 Million Drams
The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia is taking steps to identify individuals involved in the illegal entry into an apartment and the particularly large-scale theft of someone else's property in the administrative districts of Avan and Nor-Nork.
According to preliminary data, on August 1, 2019, between 09:30 and 13:00, an unknown person, with the intention to secretly steal someone else's property, used technical means to open the door of an apartment on Acharian Street in Avan, Yerevan, illegally entered the apartment, and secretly stole jewelry made of gold and silver worth 2,292,000 AMD, along with 80,000 AMD in cash, causing a total property damage of 3,000,000 AMD.
A criminal case was opened on August 1, 2019, in the investigative division of the Avan and Nor-Nork administrative districts under the characteristics of Article 177, Part 3, Clause 1.1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
During the investigation, footage from surveillance cameras at an intersection near the crime scene has been obtained, showing the individual or individuals committing the apparent crime.
In order to ensure a comprehensive, objective, and thorough investigation of the criminal case, measures are being taken to identify the person or persons who committed the apparent crime. Anyone who recognizes the individual(s) in the footage, or has any information regarding their identity or whereabouts, is urged to contact the investigative division of the Avan and Nor-Nork districts of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
