Roma Owner Wants to Sell the Club
The Italian football club Roma's owner, James Pallotta, is actively negotiating with American businessman Dan Friedkin, who has expressed interest in purchasing the club. According to initial reports, the owner is demanding €1 billion for the club.
61-year-old James Pallotta, a U.S. citizen, became the owner of the Roman club in 2011 when he acquired 67% of the shares for €70.3 million. He later bought the remaining shares and became the sole owner of the club in 2014.
Dan Friedkin is the founder of the Friedkin Group consortium, which is involved in selling Toyota vehicles in the U.S. His financial fortune is estimated at around €4.2 billion.
It is worth noting that the Armenian national team captain, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, is currently playing for Roma on loan.
