Narek Malyan Valued Vova Gasparyan’s PR More than the Interests of Armenia and Artsakh, Ioannisyan Says
Daniel Ioannisyan, the founder and project coordinator of the 'Civil Society Public Relations' NGO, wrote on his Facebook page: 'During the April 2016 war, the Armenian police made a major PR blunder that could have turned into a significant political card in Azerbaijan's hands. I called Narek Malyan, the assistant to the police chief on this matter, and tried to explain the blunder. He understood the essence of the issue, but Vova Gasparyan's PR was more important than the interests of Armenia and Artsakh. Every minute was crucial; every moment the Azerbaijanis could see the video released by the police and could use it, but the police refused to delete it. The video was removed only after my suggestion led to the intervention of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Fortunately, the relevant authorities in Azerbaijan did not manage to understand what a treasure their PR officials had thrown into the internet from the Armenian police.'
