Bako Sahakyan: We Have Been Following This Path for 28 Years

On December 10, the President of Artsakh, Bako Sahakyan, sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the referendum on the independence of the Republic of Artsakh and the day of the Constitution.

In the message, he stated: “Dear Artsakh residents, on behalf of the Republic's authorities and personally from me, I sincerely congratulate you on the most important state holiday—the referendum on the independence of the Republic of Artsakh and the day of the Constitution. Both in 1991 and in 2006, on this day, our people made a historic choice, casting their votes for a free and independent Artsakh, for the unwavering decision to build a democratic, legal, and social state.”

“A crucial step on our path of nation-building was the adoption of the country's fundamental law, the Constitution, which is based on human rights, freedoms, and the protection of interests. These are universal values that are vital for the establishment of civil society and democratic institutions.”
