Passenger Gazelle and BMW X6 Collide, Injured Taken to 'Astghik' Medical Center
A serious car accident occurred today, December 9, in Yerevan. At around 21:40, on Grigor Lusavorich Street, in front of the 'Ararat Hotel', a collision happened between a BMW X6, driven by 19-year-old Yura Sargsyan, with license plate 06 XX 045, and a passenger Gazelle, serving route number 8, driven by 31-year-old Vahe Matoevsyan, with license plate 4996 T.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamsyan from the scene, as a result of the collision, the BMW overturned and partially blocked the road's traffic lane. Following the accident, two individuals with bodily injuries were taken to 'Astghik' Medical Center.
The emergency response unit of the fire and rescue service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived quickly at the scene with one combat unit. Rescuers disconnected the vehicles from power and secured the gas cylinder of the Gazelle.
