Driver Responsible for Fatal Pedestrian Accident Identified

Today, December 9, a pedestrian accident with fatal outcomes occurred in Yerevan. Around 7:15 AM, a driver, whose identity at that moment was not yet established, struck a middle-aged man on Bagratuniats Avenue, in front of building 38, using a vehicle of unknown make and license plate. The pedestrian died at the scene, while the driver fled, leaving the victim unattended.

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, shortly thereafter, officers from the Shengavit division of the police and the community police units, led by Chief of Shengavit Police Rafael Poghosyan and investigators from the transport crime investigation division of the Yerevan Investigative Committee, including Head Artashes Vanyan and Deputy Head Samvel Samvelyan, apprehended 48-year-old Aramais Abgaryan, a resident of Yerevan.
