In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under parts 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Article 175 and part 1 of Article 235 of the RA Criminal Code, and a decision was made to assign the investigation to a specialized team.
On the same day, the police detained the granddaughter of the victim from Mayakovski village, along with three other individuals suspected of involvement in the crime. During the investigation, it became clear that this group had committed additional armed robberies, specifically targeting shops in Abovyan and Yerevan and a gas station in the Zeytun district of Yerevan, as well as another armed robbery in the village of Myasnikyan in the Armavir region where they stole money from a citizen.
