Court Ruling on Judge Papoyan's Recusal Motion to Be Announced Today

Robert Kocharian's legal team announces that the court ruling regarding the recusal motion for Judge Mikitar Papoyan will be issued today.

“The Court of Appeals will publish the court ruling on the recusal motion filed against the presiding judge Mikitar Papoyan at 16:00 today, December 9. Prosecutor Gevorg Baghdasaryan believes that Judge Papoyan cannot demonstrate impartial and unbiased behavior, as there are external factors influencing this, which may lead to distrust in the decisions made by Papoyan,” the statement reads.

It should be noted that the Court of Appeals, led by Papoyan, is set to consider the appeal by Kocharian's defense against the decision of the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court regarding the refusal to release Robert Kocharian on bail.
