Armenian Foreign Minister Meets with US Deputy Secretary of State
During the 26th OSCE Ministerial Conference in Bratislava, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with US Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker on December 6, as noted in an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mnatsakanyan and Reeker exchanged views on the meeting held on December 4 with the Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers, facilitated by the co-chairs of the Minsk Group, as well as the statement made by the delegations of the Minsk Group co-chair countries following that meeting.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of creating a conducive environment for peace through the implementation of agreements reached regarding the maintenance and strengthening of the ceasefire regime, as well as the preparation of peoples for peace.
Addressing the broad agenda of bilateral cooperation, Mnatsakanyan and Reeker exchanged thoughts on the progress and steps to be taken regarding the agreements reached within the framework of Armenian-American strategic dialogue.
In the context of the reforms being implemented by the Armenian government, the Foreign Minister highly appreciated the ongoing support from the American side for a number of programs and initiatives.
The Armenian Foreign Minister and the acting US Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs also discussed agenda items of the OSCE Ministerial Conference, as well as several issues on the international and regional agenda.
