«Hraparak»: The Failure of Nikol Pashinyan's Visit to Italy Blamed on Ambassador
«Hraparak» newspaper reports that changes are expected in the diplomatic sector. Ambassador Victoria Baghdasaryan, who was appointed in 2016, is anticipated to resign from her post in Italy. The failure of Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Italy has been attributed to the ambassador's performance.
According to our information, the head of the Department of External Relations of the Prime Minister's Office, Tovinar Hambardzumyan, who has been working in the Presidential Administration since 1995, is expected to be appointed in her place.
A realistic contender for the position of Ambassador to Great Britain has emerged: Tatoul Margaryan, who served as Armenia's ambassador in the United States from 2005 to 2014, has been the ambassador in Belgium since 2014 and is also the representative of Armenia in the EU. Anna Aghajanyan, who was the ambassador to Indonesia from 2013 to 2018, is expected to take his place in Brussels, having refused the post due to family circumstances and requested a transfer to Europe.
