Cavusoglu Declares that Purchase of Russian S-400 Systems is not a Political Issue

The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Cavusoglu stated that the purchase of Russian S-400 missile systems is not a political issue. He made this announcement during the "Mediterranean Dialogues" conference in Rome, according to Askanews agency.

Cavusoglu revealed that Ankara approached Washington and Paris to purchase air defense systems but received rejections. “We wanted to buy from our partners, but they did not sell. Well, we went to someone else,” said the minister.
