Common Interests of Armenia and Peru

On December 4, political consultations were held via video link between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Peru. The discussions from the Armenian side were led by Arman Hakobyan, Head of the Department of American Countries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while David Malagan, Head of the Second European Directorate of Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented Peru.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Armenia informed that the parties presented the recent political developments in Armenia and Peru, as well as the progress of reforms. They discussed a wide range of issues related to Armenian-Peruvian relations, including the expansion of the legal framework, activation of trade and economic cooperation, collaboration on international platforms (UN, UNESCO, Forum of Ancient Civilizations), and enhancement of tourism and cultural ties. An agreement was reached to make such discussions regular.
