Students Pushed to the Pavement: Naira Zohrabyan

MP Naira Zohrabyan from the Prosperous Armenia Party has addressed the recent detention of youth from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation's youth wing on her Facebook page:

“It appears that the legitimate demand of students to meet with the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Arayik Harutyunyan, who has a very long title, has adversely affected our law enforcement. In accordance with modern genre rules, the police have pushed students to the pavement. An obvious disproportionate use of force was applied against students who merely wanted to meet with their democratic power representational minister. One of the police officers even deemed the force used as proportionate, stating that 20 people cannot close a street.”

“Now we must demand from the police a roadmap of how many people are needed to close a street so that no one gets pushed onto pavement or walls,” she wrote.
