I do this on behalf of my family,” said Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, during a conversation with reporters about his non-participation in the telethon organized by the All-Armenian Fund.

When asked why this year less than 10 million dollars were raised during the telethon, he responded, “Go ask them, what can I say in someone else's place? I won’t answer for someone else.”

It should be noted that this year’s “Telethon 2019” raised 9 million 856 thousand US dollars. This marks the lowest total recorded since 2006, and for the first time, the amount raised did not exceed the 10 million dollar threshold.
