126 Criminal Cases Initiated for Employing Relatives in Schools, Says Pashinyan

Although the salaries of school employees have been increased by 10 percent, hundreds of criminal cases have been initiated against the same school staff. This was announced today by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a session of the National Assembly.

“During this period, 126 criminal cases have been initiated in the Republic of Armenia, within the framework of which more than 220 individuals have been registered as employees by the directors of 126 schools, but in reality, they were family members, such as wives, husbands, brothers, parents, and cousins. They did not go to work but received salaries,” said Pashinyan.

He suggested that the number of these criminal cases is likely to increase. Pashinyan stated that the first step should be to cleanse the schools of these individuals.
