New Details: What Happened After Pashinyan's Visit to Artsakh
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's meeting with three candidates ahead of presidential elections in Artsakh has caused a stir in the region. Especially among the supporters of Masis Mayilian and the pro-Mayilian party "Tomorrow's Artsakh", there are questions about why Pashinyan is meeting with representatives of the former government, effectively 'revolutionizing them.' This particularly refers to Araik Harutyunyan, although the meeting primarily sent a message to Vitaly Balasanyan, seemingly ignoring him.
Incidentally, on Saturday, the pro-government H1 also displayed a similar attitude, informing about Ashot Ghulyan's nomination while remaining silent about Balasanyan, who was also nominated the same day. We asked Jakob Jakobyan, co-chairman of the "Justice" party that nominated Balasanyan, why Balasanyan was not invited to meet with Pashinyan. "I would find it difficult to say; they should be asked themselves," he responded. If you were invited, would you go? "I cannot say, if we were invited, we would decide. We learned about the meeting from the media as well." Even among the teams of the candidates who met the Armenian Prime Minister, there is a belief that this is an interference in the elections in Artsakh. "No comment."
