Forced to Burst the Latest Information Bubble: Hakob Karapetyan
Yerevan City Hall's press secretary Hakob Karapetyan wrote on his Facebook page late in the evening: “I am compelled to burst the latest information bubble around midnight to prevent the lamenting posts and puzzled interviews from known circles. The leader of the Republican Party of Armenia’s youth wing, Hayk Mamijanyan, has published a document indicating that more than ten officials from the city hall have received their latest bonuses. According to the mayor's order dated November 27, bonuses were awarded to those officials who expressed a desire to receive quarterly bonuses monthly, meaning the quarter is divided into months.
It is said that the mayor has rewarded his ‘own people’. Here, my friends, you have ‘a blowout’, as five of the department heads listed among the awarded officials served before Hayk Marutyan was elected. Rumors suggest that the bonus distribution is secret because the document has not been published on the city hall website. Proving the emptiness of this claim takes a minute, as the Law on Local Self-Government in Armenia stipulates a seven-day period for the mayor's orders to be published, which, counting from November 27, will expire on December 4. We will publish the document on that day.
In short, as our Yervand Kubatyan says, you are wasting your resources unnecessarily, boys; your arguments are extremely weak, and your blown bubbles are of very poor quality. With each bubble that bursts, you are putting yourselves in an even heavier situation.”
