Billionaire Investors Disappointed After Meeting with Haik Marutyan, Says Tsarukyan

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the owner of the Rotana hotel chain in the UAE left disappointed after their meeting with Haik Marutyan and have temporarily frozen their investments, according to Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly.

“These billionaire individuals expressed a desire to invest in Armenia. They personally met with the Mayor of Yerevan, Haik Marutyan, and the chief architect, Arthur Meschian. The meeting lasted only half an hour, and people left disappointed and forgot about their investments, putting them on temporary hold,” said Tsarukyan.

According to Tsarukyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi wanted to establish a hospital in Yerevan that would provide free services to those in need, while the hotel chain owner was interested in building two hotels. When asked why these proposals were rejected, Tsarukyan stated that such questions should be directed to the mayor and the architect.
