A Group of Turkish Lawyers Threatens Armenians with New Displacement

A group of nationalist lawyers in Istanbul, referred to as İMAG, has issued a statement regarding the Armenian Genocide, threatening to resort to the method of "displacement again if necessary," reported ermenihaber.am.

The organization's statement, prepared by nationalist writer Mustafa Çalıkuşu, asserts that they are "guardians of the displacement of Armenians in 1915, both yesterday and today." The announcement glorifies the main orchestrators of the Armenian Genocide, Enver and Talat Pashas, as well as Bahattin Şakir, declaring their reverence for all Young Turks and kissing their hands.

"From Sarıkamış to the Dardanelles (battles - ed.), from the displacement of Armenians to the War of Independence (the nationalistic struggle led by Atatürk - ed.), all these struggles are our honor and the crown of our heads," the statement reads.

The nationalist lawyers have declared that they will consider "calling the displacement genocide as an evident enmity and a pretext for war, regardless of who says it."

"If there are no other means to defend our homeland and nation, our chosen mildest method will again be displacement, regardless of what element stands in front of us," concludes the statement.
