Why Was Garegin Nzhdeh's Memorial Not Dismantled in Russia During 'Serj's Time'?

Eduard Sharmazanov, the spokesperson for the Republican Party of Armenia, writes:

“Why was Garegin Nzhdeh's memorial not dismantled in Russia during 'Serj's time'? The government of Pashinyan, and he personally, keep drumrolling about the brilliant Armenian-Russian relations from morning until evening. Moreover, he, who accused the previous authorities of not being sovereign, tries to present his government’s foreign policy as 'unprecedentedly bold'. Meanwhile, Nikol is 'boldly' retreating at the expense of Armenian statehood and national interests.

The most recent evidence of this was the dismantling of G. Nzhdeh's memorial in Armavir, Russia, the day before yesterday. If this reflects Nikol Pashinyan’s so-called brilliant relations, then, by the same logic, we can inform the public that Armenian astronauts have achieved an 'unprecedented accomplishment' by 'capturing' Mars.

Since seizing power, Pashinyan and his followers have not yet managed to explain who Garegin Nzhdeh is to our ally, who, by the way, stated in his letters that 'the only ally of the Tsekakron is the great Russian people'. Instead of organizing shows of lies, action is needed — at the very least, at least to respond to the recent events, rather than stubbornly hiding their heads in the ground and pretending that nothing has happened. And the Prime Minister continues his humble silence.

As long as Pashinyan cannot defend national heroes in his allied country, there can be no talk of equality or sovereignty, no matter how loudly they shout or how deep their 'unprecedented complex' runs. Facts transcend dead silence; facts dissolve chaotic noise.”
