Several Hundred Flights Canceled in the U.S. Due to Inclement Weather
In the United States, several hundred flights have been canceled and more than five thousand delayed due to a snowstorm and adverse weather conditions, according to the website 'FlightAware,' which monitors the flight paths of civilian aircraft.
Travelers have been hit hardest at airports in San Francisco, Boston, and Newark, which account for 420 of the 750 canceled flights. Sunday, as people were returning home from Thanksgiving travel, was supposed to be the busiest day of the year for U.S. airports.
The 'New York Daily News,' citing a report from the Airlines for America industry group, noted that the day was expected to see air travel for at least 3.1 million people.
