Prime Minister Considers Vitali Balasanyan's Activities Destructive, Says Pashinyan's Spokesperson

The former secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh, Vitali Balasanyan, who has also announced his intention to run for the presidential elections in Artsakh, was not invited to the meeting held yesterday between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President Bako Sahakyan with the figures who have declared their candidacies for the presidential elections. This information was shared by the Prime Minister's press secretary, Vladimir Karapetyan.

“He was not invited. The reason for this approach is outlined in the context of his speech on May 20 of this year, where it is important for the Prime Minister that our beloved compatriots in Artsakh know that the Prime Minister and the citizens of the Republic of Armenia who support and back him consider Balasanyan's activities in recent months to be destructive from the perspective of national security of Armenia and Artsakh,” stated Vladimir Karapetyan.

Along with Prime Minister Pashinyan, the meeting included Arayik Harutyunyan, the president of the Free Homeland party and former Prime Minister of Artsakh, the leader of the Democratic Party of Artsakh and National Assembly President Ashot Ghulyan, and Foreign Minister Masis Mayilyan. Also present was David Ishkhanyan, a representative of the ARF Central Committee of Artsakh.
