Citizens Lost Near St. John Monastery Due to Darkness

On December 1, at 17:44, the emergency service received reports that citizens had lost their way near the St. John Monastery in the town of Spitak, Lori Province, due to darkness. A firefighting unit from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.

It became clear that the citizens at the St. John Monastery were unable to descend on their own due to the darkness. The rescuers approached the citizens from the St. John chapel, Armen (born in 1983), Vagarsh (born in 2010), and Rouzanna B. (born in 2015), and brought them to the rescue vehicle. The citizens were transported to the firefighting unit and then taken to Yerevan.

The rescuers also encountered other lost citizens—Gharib S. (born in 1997) and Yeghsik B. (born in 1936)—and assisted them in reaching their vehicle.
