Vardenyats Pass Closed for Trucks with Trailers, Reports Emergency Situations Ministry

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of November 30 at 17:08, the roadways in the Republic of Armenia are mostly passable. The Vardenyats Pass (from the Gegharkunik Province side) is closed to trucks with trailers, while it is difficult for other vehicles to traverse.

Snow is currently falling in the Vardenyats Pass area, specifically in the Aparan region of Aragatsotn Province. Fog has been reported in the Amasia region of Shirak Province. The Stepanavan-Larsi roadway is open for all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
