«Hraparak». A Criminal Case Should Be Initiated. Pashinyan Also Needs to Answer These Questions. Khajhakyan
«Hraparak» newspaper writes: The story of the donation of 'KAMAZ' vehicles is not just suspicions, but serious reports about corruption. Yesterday, before it became known that Mayor Marutyan had returned from vacation, we asked David Khajhakyan, the leader of the Yerevan Council’s 'Loyis' faction, whether the mayor would return from vacation. He replied, 'I believe the law enforcement agencies should return him and ask a series of questions.'
Can we conclude that the vacation is partly a step of 'political asylum' to see how this all ends? 'In any case, we believe this is not an ordinary oversight or abuse. There are serious manifestations of corruption that have already been revealed and will continue to be revealed, for which the number one official of the city hall, Mayor Haik Marutyan, needs to answer.'
There should be a criminal case initiated. Moreover, we believe that Pashinyan is the one who brought Marutyan to the mayor's chair; he too needs to answer these questions and provide a resolution. Until now, we have witnessed that in difficult situations for Marutyan, Pashinyan has tightly held him through well-known live broadcasts and other means.' What will happen if he resigns? 'A new political process will begin.'
