Ashot Ghulyan Nominated as a Candidate for Artsakh President
A meeting of the sixth congress of the Artsakh Democratic Party took place today in Stepanakert. According to reports from Artsakhpress, during the congress, party president Ashot Ghulyan stated that the ADP has been an active player in the political arena of the republic and has succeeded in shaping and preserving its identity in the public and political life of the country over the past two decades.
The congress unanimously adopted Ashot Ghulyan's nomination as a candidate for president of Artsakh, which was included in the agenda for discussion about the upcoming presidential elections in 2020. Ghulyan remarked that the 2020 elections would serve as a qualitative selection, highlighting the values of a person, administrator, and political figure that are most acceptable to our society. This will not be a choice merely between parties or individuals, nor aligned with any particular political line.
