22 Members of Parliament Live on Rent in Yerevan at State Expense

22 members of the National Assembly are living in Yerevan at the expense of the state. This information comes from a response to a written inquiry sent to the staff of the Assembly, as reported by Irakanum.am.

Each member of parliament is provided with 100,000 AMD for one month. In this case, the total amount provided to each of the 22 MPs during the entire term of the 7th Convocation will be 6 million AMD, amounting to a total of 132 million AMD for all 22 MPs. This is equivalent to approximately 275,000 USD.

Furthermore, this funding is provided while they also receive a salary of 660,000 AMD along with substantial bonuses.

The MPs living at the state’s expense include: from the “My Step” faction – Knyaz Hasanov, Arsen Mikhailov, Karen Sarukhanyan, Hovik Agazaryan, Vagarshak Hakobyan, Matevos Asatryan,Rustam Bakoeyan, Vahe Ghalumyan, Lilit Stepanyan, Arpine Davoyan, Taguhi Ghazaryan, Sergey Movsisyan, and Aram Khachatryan; from “Enlightened Armenia” – Edmond Marukyan, Sargis Aleksanyan, Srbouhi Grigoryan, Armen Yeghiazaryan, Karen Simonian, Anna Kostanyan, Sarik Minasyan, and Hrant Ayvazyan; and from the Prosperous Armenia Party, only Karine Poghosyan.
