Who Does Vitaly Balasanyan See as His Competitor Ahead of the Presidential Elections?
According to the newspaper ‘Hraparak’, tomorrow the ‘Valex Garden’ hotel in Artsakh will host the congress of the ‘Justice’ party in anticipation of the spring elections. The party will announce its participation in the elections and will nominate General Vitaly Balasanyan as a presidential candidate.
On the same day, Ashot Ghulyan's party will also hold a congress, during which they will declare Ghulyan as their candidate.
We asked the head of the ‘Justice’ party, Hakob Hakobyan, who else is affiliated with the party. He stated, “The puzzle is very large and multi-layered.”
We inquired about the reasoning behind nominating the non-partisan Balasanyan. “Due to Artsakh's security issues and challenges. We believe that the president of Artsakh, especially when the country is in a state of war, should represent the military-political vector.”
There are discussions that if another consensus candidate emerges, Balasanyan will support him. Do you plan to go to the end? “We have no other intention besides going until the end.”
Who do you consider as a competitor? “We do not see anyone as a competitor to Vitaly Balasanyan at this time; let it not sound too bold.”
