The newspaper 'Zhamanak' reports that Garnik Sargsyan, a singer associated with the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, has been arrested in Virginia, USA. He is accused of involvement in the illegal trafficking of drugs, specifically cocaine.

According to our sources, Sargsyan hid cocaine in the cab of his truck and attempted to transport it from California to Virginia.

Of Lebanese-Armenian descent, Garnik Sargsyan immigrated to the United States during the First Lebanese Civil War. He is considered the spirit of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party, as his songs were central to all gatherings of the party from the United States to Lebanon, and from Los Angeles to Bourj Hammoud. Now, who will sing 'The Noble Idea of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party'?
