Armen Sarkissian Participates in the Farewell Ceremony of Gohar Vardanyan

The press service of the President of Armenia reports that Armen Sarkissian attended the farewell ceremony of the legendary scout Gohar Vardanyan in Moscow today.

President Sarkissian delivered a farewell speech, praising the contributions and legacy of Gohar Vardanyan and her husband, the Hero of the Soviet Union and intelligence legend Gevorg Vardanyan. The President stated that the lives of legendary scouts, which were not always public due to objective reasons, were beautiful and heroic stories filled with real episodes that were sometimes incredible.

President Sarkissian also shared his impressions from his direct interactions with Gohar and Gevorg Vardanyan, indicating that he had known them for a long time and had warm personal relationships with them.

The legendary scout Gohar Vardanyan was laid to rest at the Troyekurovskoye Cemetery in Moscow with military honors, accompanied by a guard of honor.
