Simple Question for Mayor Marutyan: Naira Zohrabyan

NAIRA ZOHRABYAN, a member of the parliamentary faction of the Prosperous Armenia Party and the chair of the permanent commission on human rights and public affairs, wrote on her Facebook page: "A simple question for Mayor Marutyan. The mayor of Yerevan, whom the Yerevan residents elected, to ensure that the nationwide revolutionary 'spirit' does not diminish, has recently forgotten everything.

He does not remember who donated the twenty Kamaz trucks to the city hall, nor does he recall the names of the individuals and organizations that continuously contribute something to the city hall.

Let’s put aside the question that any gift – whether it’s a Kamaz or a butterfly – should be approved by the Yerevan City Council if it is indeed a gift. But since the mayor remembers nothing, we do not know if these Kamaz trucks are a gift or someone just left them next to the city hall wall and walked away.

The press reported today that the twenty Kamaz trucks were donated to the city hall by a former official, who is currently imprisoned over serious abuse of state funds.

Now I have a question for the mayor: if this is true, can your allies initiate a case against you for associating with the criminal underground?

And one light reminder: as far as I remember – and I have an excellent memory – this administration’s credo was that nothing would be done secretly from the long-suffering Armenian people anymore.

As a parliamentarian, I have written to the mayor of Yerevan, and my question is very clear: who donated or left the twenty Kamaz trucks by the city hall? Naturally, following my post, there will be a noticeable increase in the atmosphere of zombies up to 200 decibels."
