Plot Allocated for New Maternity Hospital Construction

The government made a decision in its meeting on November 28 to allocate a plot of land for the construction of a new maternity unit for the "Gyumri Maternal and Child Austrian Hospital" closed joint-stock company.

As noted by Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan, the construction of the new maternity hospital will be funded by the foundation of a Swiss-Armenian philanthropist. Project design and construction work is scheduled to begin next year.

Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan deemed the construction of the new maternity hospital commendable from the perspective of regional balanced development.
