Denial: Gagik Khachatryan Did Not Donate 'KAMAZ' Trucks

The former head of the State Revenue Committee and former Minister of Finance, Gagik Khachatryan's legal team has denied that he donated 'KAMAZ' trucks to the Yerevan City Hall.

“Today, the newspaper 'Zhamanak' published an article titled 'The Generous ‘Benefactor’: The person who donated 20 'KAMAZ' trucks to the City Hall is former SRC head Gagik Khachatryan,' which has gained wide attention in the media. The publication states, in particular, that 'the person who donated 20 'KAMAZ' garbage trucks to the City Hall is the former head of the State Revenue Committee, Gagik Khachatryan, who is currently in custody.' As authorized representatives of Gagik Khachatryan, we hereby announce that the information presented in the mentioned publication does not correspond to reality. We urge to refrain from speculations that could indirectly affect legal proceedings,’” the statement reads.
