Collective Security Treaty Organization to be Headed by Belarusian Stanislav Zas
Leaders of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member countries have approved the appointment of Belarusian representative Stanislav Zas as the organization’s Secretary General starting January 1, 2020.
“Today, the heads of state congratulated Stanislav Zas on taking up the position of CSTO Secretary General on January 1, 2020,” announced the acting Secretary General of the organization, Valery Semerikov. Semerikov noted that the presidency of the organization is transferring to Belarus in accordance with the established rules of the CSTO.
