Istanbul-Yerevan Flights Suspended: What is the Reason?

The flight from Istanbul to Yerevan scheduled for today did not take off. According to reports, the Turkish airline 'Atlas Global' has issued a statement announcing the suspension of flights in all directions, including the Istanbul-Yerevan-Istanbul route.

Flights have been suspended from November 26 to December 21 due to the economic turmoil in Turkey that began in 2016 and the resulting losses incurred by the company. Additionally, the high costs associated with the newly opened Istanbul airport have forced the airline to temporarily halt operations in order to address financial issues.

Detailed instructions for the return or rescheduling of previously purchased tickets will be posted on the company's website by December 16. In the meantime, all of the airline's booking systems will also be closed.

Today, it became clear that the Yerevan office of 'Atlas Global', which operates direct flights between Istanbul and Yerevan, is also closed.
