Dear Nikol, Don't You Want to Apologize? - Arpine Hovhannisyan
Dear Nikol, don't you want to apologize to those whose shops and products you had called for a boycott in 'Old Armenia'? This was stated by former Deputy Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, Arpine Hovhannisyan, on her Facebook page.
She notably mentioned: "The merchant of hope. Part 1: Love and solidarity… Just like Lord Jesus Christ, the one who preaches love…. Nikol Pashinyan (the merchant of hope) proclaimed love and tolerance as the foundation of his activity from the very beginning, and recently announced that he preaches love just like Lord Jesus Christ.
Opening a box labeled 'LOVE,' the citizen of the Republic of Armenia found the publication of 'Modern Assemblies of Facebook Armenians,' which vividly detailed all manifestations of boundless 'love' towards dissenters by various representatives of the 'people,' extending from the user 'sev hovaz' to 'matnahardarman paraganer.'
During this time, Pashinyan had been preaching love indiscriminately, pouring concrete on the streets and plastering it on the walls, identifying 'squealers' and other forms of love demonstrations.
In this context, there are two groups of questions that Nikol Pashinyan should answer:
1. Group of Questions
Dear Nikol, even if for a moment we accept that you claim to be a preacher of love, could you somehow hint at where we can search for and find the love you preach? Can you tell us where it is manifested? In general, the head of a family, any institutional leader, the leader of a team, not to mention the head of the country, has a mission and function to establish harmony and cohesion within their realm of authority, activity, and social responsibility.
Tell us what you, as the leader of the country, have done to prevent the spread of blind and unbridled hatred, or to establish public solidarity? What have you done to ensure that debates with political opponents are civilized, constructive, and substantive, rather than devolving into cheap shows? What has been YOUR STEP? And do you consider the article published in your family newspaper to be a preaching of love or, say, a justification for the hatred you have preached and sown?
You will probably say that the previous ones contributed to the spread of this hatred through their behavior. Perhaps in some cases, I would agree with you. But until then, it might be worthwhile for you to respond to some questions.
Do you really think you are so infallible, /like Jesus Christ/, that the ones criticizing you are only the former officials? Have you considered the possibility that perhaps the people criticizing you have principles, do not wish for positions at the cost of losing their dignity and honor, and simply do not see a vision in your political agenda?
In addition, do you really believe that any critic of yours is a 'thief' and 'corrupt,' or does that justify the shortcomings or criminals of the previous regime? Or perhaps many of your critics would not be opposed to punishing criminals, they just do not accept that you are Robin Hood or Jesus Christ? They have solid doubts that you are the prime minister of the country and should deal with the economy, while the investigative authorities and INDEPENDENT courts deal with those 'accursed' criminals.
2. Group of Questions
Dear Nikol, don't you want to apologize to those individuals whose shops and products you had called for a boycott in 'Old Armenia'? Do you know why I am asking? You were sowing hatred toward them, claiming they were stealing from the people and had monopolies, but it turned out they are not that bad at all—so much so that you are now participating in the openings of their factories, praising them, taking selfies, and so forth.
If it is not too much trouble, could you explain what sort of metamorphosis many of the former officials have undergone, so that from being symbols of hatred, they have now resurrected in 'New Armenia' as apostles of love? According to your publication, minimizing hatred requires at least repentance; please tell us, when did they express regret, at what moment was this historical moment—when they were slandering Serge or praising Nikol or donating to a notable foundation?
And is accepting your exceptionalism repentance or forgiveness of sins? On one occasion, I told you this, and I am asking again—have you taken a cursory glance at your National Assembly and government and seen how many former officials are there? Are they not hated because they love you, or is it because they have repented?
And finally, dear Nikol, have you ever thought that perhaps subconsciously you have begun TO LOVE all those against whom you are fighting and turning into objects of hatred because, as long as they exist, you can continue to exist, as long as they are there, no one will expect reforms from you, and by this, you will also manage and direct public consciousness?
Best wishes.
