Black-Dressed Mothers to Protest in Front of the Government Tomorrow
Black-dressed mothers and widows! We inform you that as a result of our discussions at the government, we have no final response or result. This was stated by the relative of a victim, Satik Khlghatyan, on her Facebook page, noting that they will go to the front of the government building tomorrow morning and continue their struggle.
She specifically wrote: “Black-dressed mothers and widows! We inform you that as a result of our discussions at the government, we have no final response or result. We, the mothers and widows of the victims, are demanding from the Prime Minister. We have given our most precious to the homeland—our children and husbands. They died for the sake of future generations and our state, historically justifying that price. As for the victims in the political struggle, that is also a great tragedy, but to value their role higher than that of those who died for the Homeland should be considered immoral.
We demand that the authorities immediately extend the assistance model for the victims and the wounded (both serious and light) of March 1 to the families of the fallen and wounded (serious and light) for the Homeland. We call on all those who hold the Artsakh victory, the security of our homeland, and the blood shed by our sons dear to join our just demands.
The criteria applied to the victims of the March 1, 2008 incidents should also be applied to the families of the fallen soldiers and ensure 30 million drams. Therefore, we urge everyone who appreciates and values the Artsakh war, the value of victory, and the black-dressed mothers to join our just demands.
I inform you that we are fighting to support all families of the fallen, and there are no shady agreements, and there cannot be any. Therefore, seeing that the government is artificially delaying and not trying to solve the issue, we have decided to continue our fight in front of the government building on Thursday, November 28, at 10:00 AM.”
