Arsen Karakhanyan Urges to Eliminate Companies Turning Air Passenger Transportation into a Circus

Arsen Karakhanyan wrote on his Facebook page: “The charming eyes of the Civil Aviation Committee must be reminded that immediate actions are required to eliminate the operations of companies that have turned safe air passenger transport into a circus, possessing questionable material and technical capabilities, and operating one or two resource-depleted aircraft in the Armenian aviation market. Otherwise, a series of forced landings by the mentioned company over the past months could lead to unhappy endings, painful losses, and irretrievable losses.”

“Armenia is obliged and must have a national carrier with state participation, and all claims that there are much richer and larger countries that do not have state participation or entirely state-owned companies are demagoguery. Therefore, Armenia can also afford not to have a national carrier. We have traditions in the field and still maintain the necessary human resources to start the job. The charming eyes are not included among these human resources.”

“The state can be an effective manager,” he added.

It is noteworthy that yesterday the Civil Aviation Committee announced that the Boeing 737-500 EK 73736 aircraft of the “Armenia” airline made a forced landing at the Don Rostov airport while operating flight NGT930 from Yerevan to Moscow.
